Results

I went into today's appointment almost 100% convinced Maci's knee issue would be no big deal.  Turns out she has juvenile arthritis.  While it isn't life threatening by any means, it still was not the news we wanted to hear.  The orthopedic doctor is referring us to Iowa City.  There are only two doctors in the state that will look at someone her age.  It will probably be at least two months until we can get in so he gave her some sort of shot in her knee today to help with the fluid.  I'm really looking forward to seeing her run again!

He is not an arthritis expert but based on her MRI and her somewhat elevated arthritis indicator blood levels he was fairly confident. Once we meet with the Iowa City doctor, we'll have a better plan of action.  Until then, we keep an eye on her and make sure she isn't in any pain.  Probably give her a little bit extra love and attention too! :)
